Detailed Product Overview

The HIOKI 3481 is a compact non contact voltage detector for everyday use in electrical installation and service work. About the size of a permanent marker and weighing less than 30 g including batteries, it is equipped with a pen style pocket clip and easy to carry in a shirt pocket for quick checks at any time.

The detector features adjustable sensitivity and is rated for voltage checks from 40 V to 600 V AC, CAT IV. If you mainly work on sockets, a higher sensitivity helps ensure reliable voltage detection, even when child protection limits direct access. If most work is done in distribution panels with many live conductors close together, a lower sensitivity usually gives cleaner indication. The sensitivity is adjusted using a screwdriver via the adjustment trimmer located beneath the battery clip.

Bright LED Work Light for dark work areas

Voltage presence is indicated by a red LED and an audible buzzer. An integrated white LED work light illuminates sockets, terminals and distribution cabinets, making everyday work much easier in poorly lit environments.
