The HIOKI BT3554-51 portable battery tester set includes the BT3554-50 main instrument and the 9465-10 straight pin type test lead. It represents the latest generation in HIOKI’s long-standing line of battery testers, drawing on expertise that dates back to 1986, when the company introduced its first model.
Supporting two voltage ranges (6 V and 60 V) and four resistance ranges (3 mΩ to 3 Ω), the BT3554-51 ensures compatibility with a wide range of battery types and capacities. Measurements can be performed without disconnecting the battery from the system, simplifying maintenance and reducing inspection time.

With a measurement time of less than two seconds, the BT3554-51 is ideal for battery testing in tight or hard-to-access spaces. HIOKI’s advanced noise reduction technology ensures accurate readings even in environments with strong electrical noise. An integrated comparator function (PASS, WARNING, FAIL) provides an instant evaluation of battery condition based on user-defined thresholds, enabling quick and reliable assessments in the field.

The instrument also enhances efficiency through comprehensive data management features. Up to 6,000 measurement records can be stored in internal memory. When paired with the optional Z3210 Bluetooth® adapter, data can be wirelessly transferred to a smartphone or tablet. The free GENNECT Cross app enables real-time data analysis, automated report creation, and the transfer of pass/fail profiles to the tester—streamlining workflows for maintenance and inspection teams.

For PC connectivity, the built-in USB interface allows direct data transfer and remote control via the free GENNECT One Windows software. Alternatively, results can be sent directly to Excel by setting the tester as a Human Interface Device (HID), eliminating the need for dedicated drivers.

A variety of optional test leads and accessories are available to accommodate different battery terminals and installation conditions. Designed for field use, the BT3554-51 includes auto-hold and auto-memory functions that automatically detect and record new measurements—ensuring smooth, efficient operation without additional user input.
