The HIOKI BT3554-52 portable battery tester set includes the BT3554-50 main instrument and the L2020 four-wire probe. It represents the latest generation of HIOKI’s portable battery testers, building on decades of expertise since the company introduced its first model in 1986.
Supporting two voltage ranges (6 V and 60 V) and four resistance ranges (3 mΩ to 3 Ω), the BT3554-52 is compatible with a wide variety of battery types and capacities. Measurements can be performed without disconnecting the battery from the system, which greatly simplifies the process and reduces testing time.

With a measurement speed of under two seconds, the BT3554-52 is ideal for testing in confined or hard-to-reach locations. HIOKI’s advanced noise reduction technology ensures precise readings even in environments with electrical interference. The built-in comparator function (PASS, WARNING, FAIL) provides immediate evaluation of battery condition based on user-defined thresholds, allowing quick and reliable decision-making during maintenance.

The tester offers efficient data management with capacity for up to 6,000 measurement records. When equipped with the optional Z3210 Bluetooth® adapter, results can be wirelessly transferred to a smartphone or tablet. Using the free GENNECT Cross app, technicians can perform real-time data analysis, generate reports, and transfer pass/fail profiles to the instrument—streamlining workflows and improving traceability in the field.

A USB interface enables PC connectivity for easy data handling and remote control through the free GENNECT One Windows software. Alternatively, data can be sent directly to Microsoft Excel by configuring the tester as a Human Interface Device (HID), simplifying reporting without additional software.

A broad range of optional test leads and accessories allows the BT3554-52 to adapt to different battery types, terminals, and installation setups. Designed specifically for on-site and field use, it includes auto-hold and auto-memory functions that automatically detect new measurements and store results without requiring any manual operation—helping technicians work more efficiently and confidently in demanding conditions.
