- CCI is used to transfer EFT/burst pulses to I/O conductors as required by various European and international standards for immunity testing
- The coupling of EFT/burst electrical transients to signal conductors cannot usually be achieved by discrete capacitive coupling without disturbing the signal flow. It is often not possible to connect directly to the circuit under test, e.g. with coaxial or shielded cables. In this case, the coupling is realized by a capacitive coupling clamp
- The interference simulator can be connected on both sides of the coupling clamp. The IEC 61000-4-4 ed. 3.0 standard issued in 2012 recommends calibrating the capacitive coupling clamp to a 50ohm coaxial load using the CCI PVKIT 1 normative calibration kit
