- capacitive voltage probe (CVP) is designed for measuring asymmetrical interference on cables based on the capacitive coupling principle
- provides the possibility to perform measurements without disconnecting the cable under test and thus prevents unwanted transients
- the main parameter of the CVP is the coupling factor, measured in a calibration system with an impedance of 50 Ω
- the capacitive voltage probe is specified in Section 5.2.2 and Annex G of CISPR 16-1-2.
- The capacitive voltage probe (CVP) is used for measurements at telecommunication ports for lines with more than four symmetrical pairs or for unsymmetrical lines
