+DS Option Dropout Switch

In addition to the failures that are specified in standards such as ISO 16750-2, many manufacturers' standards often require very fast failure testing using a switch. We have designed a completely new +DS option for this purpose. This dropout switch in NSG 5500 +ARB +DS has been completely redesigned for clean and symmetrical switching on all three switches: BAT+, BAT- and the new short-circuit switch (S2) for European requirements (e.g. LV 124 requirement). This 100 A switch contains very clean waveforms with symmetrical switching behavior down to 1 µs, even when verified into a load of only 1 kΩ. In the closed state, the switch measures < 100 mΩ and in the open state ≈ MΩ. The switch also has optional voltage and current measurements for closed-loop testing: set a target value and let the system make any necessary corrections using lossy settings.
