    LR8101 Datalogger

    • modular data logger for recording on up to 300 channels
    • unlike traditional HIOKI loggers, the ability to simultaneously record current (with HIOKI probes) and thus electrical power
    • due to the high measurement accuracy, multi-channel analysis of electrical efficiency is possible with this logger (replacement of a power analyzer)
    • the LR8101 base unit must be equipped with one or more optional input modules (selection of accessories below)
    • for more demanding (e.g. hardware-in-the-loop testing) applications, the LR8102 variant is available
    • 3-year warranty

    Parameters and specifications

It is necessary to add at least one measuring unit to the basic LR8101 module, which ensures communication with the higher-level system (PC). If one or more units (but max. 4 per logger) are used for power measurement (M7103), the M1100 power supply must also be installed in the system.

max. number of channels vs. sampling rate 80 (5 ms), 150 (10 ms), 300 (20 ms)
max. number of connected input modules 10 (with a limit of max. 4x M7103)
    communication interface 1x LAN
real-time sending of measured values (for HIL simulations) N/A; select LR8102 series for this function
possibility to synchronize multiple loggers N/A; select LR8102 series for this function. The limit on the number of channels of the LR8101 series is 300.
compatible input units M7100: 15 channels (voltage, temperature); 1500 VDC max (to ground), 5 ms fastest sampling time
M7102: 30 channels (voltage, temperature); max. 600 VDC (to ground), fastest sampling 10 ms
M7103: 3 channels (U+I); max. 1500 VDC (to ground), 500 kHz sampling, range of measured currents according to the type of HIOKI probe connected
M1100: power supply for 1 or more M7103 units

    Applications

Monitoring of entire BEV traction battery packs during charge/discharge test. With multi-channel measurement and the ability to measure high voltages up to 1500 VDC, it is possible to measure up to hundreds of individual battery cells while monitoring the behavior of the battery pack as a whole, including the temperatures of the individual cells. For more demanding applications requiring measurement data to be fed back to the control system and the test values to be reconfigured accordingly (Hardware-in-the-loop simulation), choose the LR8102 series.
