- PowerWave is a high performance, electronically controlled power supply suitable for applications where exceptional performance is required. The PowerWave's performance makes it the ideal power supply for testing electric vehicles to ECE R10 standards, both for supplying power in EMC chambers and for conducting tests down the line. It combines AC and DC power supplies in a compact size and allows charging of Mode 3 (AC) and Mode 4 (DC) electric vehicles. With the additionally required charging station simulator (i.e. Comemso EVCA), different charging standards such as Chademo, GB/T, CCS and Tesla are covered.
- Adjustable output configurations, 1000 Hz bandwidth and a flexible built-in waveform generator allow PowerWave to simulate different grid configurations (single-phase, split and three-phase) and generate power anomalies. This includes frequency changes, phase shifts, phase asymmetry, voltage changes and disturbances (i.e. flat waveforms, harmonics, interharmonics, etc.). These are ready for use in an extensive library of pre-programmed tests - part of the net.control software.
- PowerWave is perfectly suited for testing high-voltage components of electric vehicles up to 1500 VDC, i.e. electric drives, batteries and auxiliary components. Not only can it be used as a constant voltage source, but due to its 1250 V/ms rate of change it covers demanding tests such as voltage fluctuations and dynamics (i.e. ISO 21498, LV123, MBN 11123, VW 80300, Nissan 28400NDS91, etc.).
- PowerWave is a fully bi-directional power supply with 100% source/load capability. This allows testing of electric drive systems in engine and generator mode, as well as charging and discharging HV batteries. It includes an energy recovery feature that reduces radiated heat and power consumption.
- other applications covered - grid simulator for testing solar inverters or charging stations - testing of high performance avionics and military components
