Detailed Product Overview
The HIOKI PW3360-20 is a portable three-phase power and energy logger designed for a wide range of electrical systems, supporting input voltages from 90 V to 780 V AC at 50/60 Hz. It accommodates configurations from single-phase 2-wire to three-phase 4-wire systems, making it suitable for factories, commercial buildings, and residential installations. With its built-in SD card slot supporting up to 8 GB, the instrument enables long-term, stand-alone logging of energy usage and demand trends.
The logger delivers high-accuracy measurements with a basic active-power accuracy of ±0.4% (excluding current sensor accuracy). This level of precision ensures dependable assessment of power consumption and helps identify areas of energy loss or opportunities for improving efficiency.
To conduct measurements, the PW3360-20 requires AC current sensors equipped with BNC connectors. These sensors are not included with the main unit and must be purchased separately. By choosing the appropriate sensor type, users can match the measurement range to their application—whether monitoring small loads or high currents reaching several kiloamperes.
The PW3360-20 supports both load current and leakage current logging, enabling comprehensive energy analysis and electrical safety evaluations. Load current logging assists in monitoring consumption for equipment, panels, or entire facilities and helps pinpoint inefficiencies to reduce energy waste. Leakage current logging detects unintended current flow—often caused by deteriorating insulation, wiring faults, or aging components. Tracking leakage current is essential for preventing hazards, reducing fire risks, and maintaining compliance with electrical safety standards. Together, these capabilities help detect inefficiencies and potential faults early, enhancing system safety and reliability.
The Z1006 AC adapter is included for operation from a standard power outlet. When an outlet is not available, the instrument can alternatively be powered by the optional PW9002 Battery Set or the PW9003 Voltage Line Power Adapter. The PW9002 mounts directly on the back of the unit and provides up to six hours of operation on a full charge. The PW9003 connects to the monitored voltage line and powers the instrument directly from it, enabling continuous operation as long as the line remains energized. These options ensure dependable performance in both permanent setups and on-site field measurements.
Engineered for energy auditors, facility managers, and service engineers, this power logger offers a reliable and safe solution for monitoring energy usage. Its compact form factor allows installation in tight spaces such as switchboards and control cabinets. The instrument supports real-time monitoring via LAN and integrates with HIOKI’s free Gennect One PC software for continuous energy tracking. Whether used for single energy audits or long-term monitoring, the PW3360-20 provides accurate data to support energy savings and improve operational performance.
