SA9001-01 Slurry Sample Container

The SA9001-01 is a set of sample containers designed for impedance measurements of aqueous (water-based) slurriesused in the development and production of lithium-ion batteries. The product is used together with the SA9002 Test Fixture as part of the SA2634-KIT Slurry Analysis System from HIOKI.

Each package contains 50 single-use sample containers, with each container intended for one-time use to prevent cross-contamination between measurements. Each container holds approximately 1 ml of slurry.

The electrode surfaces are gold-plated, providing a corrosion-resistant, low-resistance electrical contact optimized for impedance analysis of aqueous slurries. Gold plating prevents oxidation and ensures stable and consistent measurement results, even when used in wet or high-humidity environments.

Aqueous slurries are primarily used in the development and production of anode materials, such as graphite or silicon-based composites. Unlike systems based on N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP), aqueous systems use water as a solvent, making them more environmentally friendly and safer to handle. These systems also place higher demands on the stability of electrode electrical properties in the presence of moisture, which is reliably addressed by the gold-plated electrodes.

When mounted in the SA9002 Test Fixture, the container defines the electrode geometry and ensures consistent contact conditions, resulting in high repeatability and reproducibility of impedance measurements.

Although the SA9001-01 sample containers are part of the SA2634-KIT Slurry Analysis System, they can also be purchased separately and used with other HIOKI LCR meters and impedance analyzers in combination with the SA9002 Test Fixture. The containers are optimized specifically for slurry materials; use with other conductive pastes may result in different contact characteristics and is not covered by the manufacturer’s specifications.
